It has always been my passion to help families and children to navigate through their lives while facing challenges. Through the years, I came to a realization that I could combine my 30+ years of hands on practice with my professional counseling, educational background, and early intervention experience to assist not only families and students but also teachers and professionals.

I feel the ripple effect as I integrate my various professional skill sets to create a sum bigger than the addition of the parts. I am very excited to pass this energy to others while bringing more power and less pressure to their lives.  

My educational and professional background reflects what my passion has been throughout the years: BA in Psychology, MA in Education, MS in Community Counseling. Mental Health Professional with 15-year experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor in GA, Adjunct Community College Instructor, Infant/Toddler and Family Specialist in NC, and certified in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and in STEP (Systematic Effective Parenting), Test Anxiety, Behavior Modification techniques and Family Coaching.

I have been excited to serve in different communities; conducting seminars and workshops about Positive/Mindful Communication, Anger and Behavior Management Techniques, and leading  small groups for Parent Education, Mindful Parenting/Teaching and Team Building. I have been teaching Child Development, Guidance and Academic Success Classes at Rowan Cabarrus Community College for eight years. In addition to my teaching experience,  I have been working as a Pediatric Developmental Specialist/ITFS as a member of K.I.D.S. early intervention team. And I recently joined the PBS Educational Engagement Team on a project base opportunities. I am experienced in assisting individual clients and families to identify their needs, to determine and achieve their goals to improve their family life.  You will walk away with tools that you can apply into your daily life immediately.
